Adverting to my note of September 10,
1926, regarding the seizure of opium on the
Steamship EASTERN PRINCE in New York on
November 23, 1925, I have the honor to enclose
herewith, for your information, a copy of a
letter from the Secretary of the Federal
Narcotics Control Board, dated November 15,
1926, with its enclosures, stating that the
Fortugese Consul General in New York has
denied that the opium seized on the EASTERN
PRINCE originated in Macao.
